From 2011 through 2014 I—along with the extremely talented designers and writers I worked with—had the pleasure of developing gift cards for Best Buy, Inc. We produced over 30 unique cards each year for a wide range of gift giving occasions and target audiences.

I have led a wide range of projects for Time Warner Cable. Among my favorite assignments for them is a recurring in-store promotional program. Large Window posters, promotional signage, flyers and retail fixtures are refreshed each quarter. Special flagship stores receive additional materials.

When I was approached by the HCBA to redevelop the identity for the organization I was a bit nervous. I had in fact, been asked to intervene in a creative effort already in progress; was told that the decision making committee would number more than 50 people (divided into 2 separate boards) and; am married to the Executive Director of HCBA, Mary-Margaret Zindren.
The end result is absolutely beautiful and the final mark is blind-embossed on notecards and business papers—but my personal favorite of the submitted designs lives only as the concept shown here. (Mary-Margaret and I are still cool).
In 2013 Time Warner Cable decided to refresh their corporate image library. The shots were to be used internally and at retail and reflect key customers segments such as:
- Connected Millennials
- Modern Families; and
- Silver Surfers
It was a blast working with one of our copywriters to develop “shot scripts,” coordinating locations (in LA), and choosing models. But the best part was working Creative Director Yves Roux and selecting A-list photographer Bob Coscarelli.

From time to time a design team gets to partner with a client and create something truly special. In this case our team created a campaign of posters, transit station signs and highway billboards for Blue and White Taxi, urging people to find a safe ride home. The tone is fun and non-judgemental and the work was featured throughout the Minneapolis metro area through the Spring and Summer of 2013.
